Halloween Update!

The Halloween update is here!

This update mainly adds some extra Halloween spiceyness to the game in the form of decorations and the new pumpkin crop, which at it's final growth stage becomes a carved design sent by one of you guys in the community! Thank you to all who participated! Future pumpkin designs will also be accepted at a later stage. A list of everyone who participated will be added at the end of this post.

In addition to the pumpkin crop, a few small balance changes have been made. All purchasable crops have been buffed with lower purchase costs, lower plant costs and higher value returns. The shop has also been made to stay open longer and reopen more often.

During halloween, the shop has a new look and will always sell pumpkins along with another random crop. Try to see how many designs you can get on the farm at once!

In addition, the night time encounter with Mothman has some extra secrets. All pumpkins and their designs will be illuminated at night! Also, occasionally a festive firework will go off, flooding the map with some colourful light (Fireworks can be toggled off in the upgrade menu).  Mothman will arrive one night more often than he usually does, so you can experience this more!

The bad news is that while I really worked hard on a new cryptid for this release, they just aren't quite finished. I've learnt from the Mothman update a few months ago that I should release cryptids in a finished state, rather than a rushed one. So expect to see them on the farm next week when they're fully functional!

Thank you all so much for carrying on playing the game, even months after it's initial release. It's an honour to have such a dedicated player base and the attention this game gets keeps me going towards my goals of becoming a game developer. We've hit over 14,000 browser plays which I never would've believed possible. Thank you everyone once more, and keep farming!
